1st December 2010, 6th graders

6th graders are working with geoboards in order to comprehend the conjugate and similar geometrical shapes and concepts.

In this acitivity, Bruner's theory was based on. Students first concrete by using materials (in this activity: geoboards), then picturize by drawing the geometric models to their dot papers, finally they need to express their findings to generalize them in an abstract matematical language.
